By making an appointment at Bohem therapies, you are agreeing to my Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Bohem therapies is a massage studio based in Leith, owned by Kuba, a qualified Swedish Massage therapist.
Confidentiality
All information shared with Bohem therapies during your sessions, including personal details and medical history, will be kept strictly confidential.
Appointment and Cancellation Policy
You can book in with me through my booking system on the website, alternatively through a contact box on my website, email or text message, but I might not be able to deal with these immediately. You will receive a confirmation email after your booking and reminder before your appointment.
You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before your booking time. If you miss your appointment without 24 hour notice, you will be asked to pay in full. You will receive an invoice to your email which must be paid within 3 working days to my business bank account. If you miss an appointment which was purchased as a package, you will lose this appointment if you do not give me notice for more than 24 hours.
If you arrive late, try to inform me where possible. Depending on your time of arrival, I reserve a right to decide what treatment would be possible in the time we have left together. You will be asked to pay for the appointment scheduled.
Payment and Fees
I do not collect payments online before your appointment, you will pay by card or cash after your treatment.
I offer a Profession Discount. If you are on low income and working in hospitality sector, as a carer, charity worker or barber and hairdresser, you will be eligible to purchase one of my packages: 1 session for £35, 2 sessions for £65, which has to be used within 3 weeks from first appointment or package of 3 sessions for £90 which has to be used within 6 weeks from first appointment. 1 session will be paid by cash, the other packages can be paid by cash or card after appointment. I do not offer refunds for purchased packages. Please get in touch for initial booking. The same Cancelation policy applies to Profession discount sessions. This Profession Discount is subjected to review on the second of February 2025.
Gift Cards
I do offer Gift Cards, please get in touch to get yours customised. I do not offer refunds for gift cards. Gift Cards must be used within 6 months from purchase.
Health and Safety
Please do not attend Bohem therapies if you are feeling unwell. Reschedule your appointment if you are suffering from any contagious disease, viral or bacterial infection. Cancelation policy might still apply. If I feel unwell, I will contact you as soon as possible to find a suitable alternative slot for you.
I am maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene and I am expecting the same from you.
Please do not attend Bohem therapies if you are under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or prescribed opioid painkillers. If you have fever, diarrhoea, unusual indigestion, chronic kidney condition, I will not be able to carry out treatment as these are contraindications to massage. If you are attending your GP and awaiting the diagnosis, seek an approval from your GP to receive a massage treatment. If you suffer from any cardiovascular disease, you will need a written approval from your GP to receive a massage at Bohem therapies.
There are some local contraindications to massage. I might not treat part of your body if you suffer from any local contraindications such as bruises, insect bites, new tattoo etc.
I will not be responsible for damage or loss of your personal belongings meanwhile you visit Bohem therapies. I will not tolerate any kind of abuse or harassment.
I reserve a right to refuse the treatment if you behave inappropriately and I will ask you to leave immediately. I might consider initiating legal proceedings.
Insurance and Complaints
I am insured with Balens. As a member of Scottish Manual Therapist organisation (SMTO) I comply with their Practice Standards, Code of Conduct and Ethics. My SMTO number is 3786.
Disclaimer
While Swedish massage is generally considered safe for most people, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. It is essential to consult with your healthcare provider before booking a massage if you have any concerns or underlying health issues.
You are responsible for informing me of any changes to your health, including any doctor appointments or pending diagnoses. I reserve the right to refuse treatment if I believe it is not safe to proceed.
Bohem therapies offers Swedish massage therapy. The services offered are intended to promote relaxation and well-being. Results may vary from person to person.The massage therapist does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. I cannot prescribe any medication or treatment, and I will recommend a referral to your GP when appropriate.
I may decline to treat a client or specific area of the body if it is deemed necessary for the client’s safety or well-being. Bohem therapies reserves the right to terminate a session if I believe continued treatment poses a risk. Clients retain the right to end a session at any time, irrespective of prior consent.
